Q. What sort of company is Proto Resources?
A. Proto Resources is a mining exploration and development company focussed on nickel and iron ore, with its most advanced project being the Barnes Hill project in northern Tasmania.
Q. What does it mean that Proto Resources is on the Australian Stock Exchange?
A. Proto Resources had its Initial Public Offering (“IPO”) in November 2006, when members of the public were offered the opportunity to buy shares under a prospectus. Now the shares trade on the ASX and there are buyers and sellers for the shares; the price fluctuates depending on the demand.
Q. What sort of projects does Proto Resources have?
A. As above, Proto Resources' most advanced project is its development project in Tasmania, Barnes Hill. As well as this, Proto Resources has several exciting exploration targets in WA and the NT. Proto Resources’ strategy is to create value for shareholders by advancing development work at Barnes Hill in conjunction with moving this exploration work forward, thus always ensuring strong market interest.

A. Proto Resources has an experienced and committed management team including Chairman and Managing Director Andrew Mortimer, Executive Director Lia Darby, Chief of Operations Ashley Hood, and Chief Development Officer Pierre Richard. Proto Resources also has an impressive board of independent directors including Ian Campbell, ex Federal Environment Minister, and Greg Melick QC.

A. Not currently, we hope to in the future but would need revenue from Barnes Hill or another project; Barnes Hill is looking like being in production by early 2013.
