Proto Resources views its commitment to the communities in which it operates as being a cornerstone of its corporate citizenship. The company is committed to an active social engagement in the communities in which it works, and has already developed a track record and proud history of sponsoring local organisations and supporting local enterprise. Proto Resources currently sponsors a number of important community institutions, such as the Beaconsfield Football Club and the Beaconsfield Cricket Club in Tasmania. There is a strong mining community in Beaconsfield; a town in which the Beaconsfield Gold Mine, and the soon to be realised Barnes Hill project, offers employment and opportunity to many who choose to live and work in the region.

Historically, Proto Resources has sponsored a mining museum in Milparinka, near its Tibooburra project in NSW, and has also been a major sponsor of local rodeos.

The company will continue to promote its community relations program both as an integral part of the operation of Proto Resources, and as an example to other companies to encourage similar engagement with the communities in which they work.
